There are many pictures and we currently store our old photographs, letters and memorabilia. We do show items by appointment and are hopeful the City of National City will grant us the upstairs of the Kimball museum to showcase them. Citizens call frequently to see the history room at the library but it is not often open when the phone calls come in. Special appointments can be made to see these amazing artifacts.
Rancho De La Nacion was 26,631 acres and was purchased for $30,000 from Mexican Governor Francois Pioche. The township of National City was than laid out and the Kimballs started the first lumber company, the first Title Company and the first Newspaper.
